Since the club AGM on the 2nd July 2024, there has been no elected Club Secretary due to the previous secretary stood down to put their energy into other interests. This presents a problem for the club being able to continue and the position needs to be filled before league fixtures begin in September. The club has affiliated teams for the season and began registering players, but there is a real risk that the club could fold before a ball is kicked in just 7 weeks time. Therefore your club needs you!

Here is a description of the role:

Secretary
• Ensuring smooth running of the club
• Organising managers’, committee
meetings and AGM.
• Liaison with leagues
• Liaison with County FA

They are involved in all aspects of the club. The biggest period is after the end of the previous season and getting things ready for the new season.

Role Description : The main purpose of this job is that of principal administrator for the club. The Club Secretary carries out or delegates all the administrative duties that enable the club and its members to function effectively. The Club Secretary is a pivotal role within the club, with a close involvement in the general running of the club. The secretary and their assistants provide the main point of contact for people within and outside the club on just about every aspect of the club’s activities.

There are several aspects of the role that are already delegated to make the job easier such as, Equipment Manager, Pitch Coordinator, Membership Secretary and Player Registration Officers.
